Design Process
Briefing
At this first stage the scope of work is established as to whether it is a stand alone interior design project or if it requires architectural and build elements also. During this meeting the most important thing is to establish the clients wants, needs and expectations for the project.
Design Concept
Having established the brief and project scope the design concept is developed. Visual aids are produced to illustrate style, space planning, colour schemes, furniture layout, furnishings and any structural work required. Moodboards, displaying all finishes and fabrics, are produced to compliment the design concept completing the true-to-life picture of the end result.
Design Detailing
All design details from structural work to bespoke joinery are further developed with the relevant craftsmen and tradesmen. Every detail is shown in precise technical drawings so that the end result will be true to the chosen design.
Selecting Materials
It’s now time to finalise all fabrics, furnishings and finishes. This can involve everything from commissioning bespoke furniture pieces to finding the exact marble for the bathroom.
Commissioning Craftsmen & Tradesmen
To ensure the highest quality of workmanship is carried out in every area of the project the necessary experienced tradesmen are called in to carry out the work. Every aspect of the workmanship is overseen throughout the project.
Project Management
Whether it is a stand alone interior design project or a project involving design and construction it is imperative to have seamless project management in all aspects of the work. All issues are dealt with quickly and efficiently in the client's best interests.
